On Friday, May 4th, the cosmetics industry let loose and boogied on down to the music of the ’80s in the ballroom at the New York Hilton & Towers. More than 1,000 members and guests were in the mood for partying as they flocked to CIBS’ popular annual Ladies Day luncheon. All agreed that the larger than ever crowd was a sign of good times—and a great organization—as they caught up with old friends, made new ones and enjoyed wine and cocktails and a plentiful appetizer bar—topped with a roller skate ice sculpture. A full luncheon followed, accompanied by first-rate entertainment courtesy of a dynamite disco troupe with afro-sized wigs as big as the glimmering disco balls that decorated the tables.
